Power supply method and product features of electromagnetic flowmeter

The principle of electromagnetic flowmeter is based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction. The sensor is mainly composed of measuring tube, electrode, excitation coil, iron core and magnetic yoke shell. Electromagnetic flowmeter has many advantages and has become one of the first choice flowmeters for liquid medium measurement in industrial enterprises. The following introduces the power supply method and product features of the electromagnetic flowmeter.

What are the power supply methods for electromagnetic flowmeters? At present, the electromagnetic flowmeters on the domestic market mainly have three power supply modes: AC 220V, DC 24V and battery power supply.

Electromagnetic flowmeters powered by AC 220V are currently the most widely used. Generally, industrial sites have 220V power supplies. The flowmeter can work as long as it is installed according to the requirements and powered on. The 220V power supply electromagnetic flowmeter can be made into an integrated type or a split type, and can be made into a pipeline type or a plug-in type.

DC 24V power supply electromagnetic flowmeter is mainly used in industrial sites where AC power is not allowed or low-voltage DC power is used for safety reasons, or it is equipped with a flow totalizer, and the totalizer supplies power to the electromagnetic flowmeter. Only 24V power supply can be selected. .

Battery-powered electromagnetic flowmeters are mainly used in situations where there is no power supply at the site. Its price is much higher than similar products, and there are not many applications at present.

Electromagnetic flowmeters are mainly used to measure the volume flow in conductive liquids and slurries in closed pipelines, including highly corrosive liquids such as acids, alkalis, and salts (anti-corrosion electromagnetic flowmeters). The series of electromagnetic flowmeters produced by Zero Instrument are widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, textile, food, pharmaceutical, papermaking and other industries as well as environmental protection, municipal management, water conservancy construction and other fields. Electromagnetic flowmeter has the following characteristics:

1: Measurement is not affected by changes in fluid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure and conductivity;

2: There are no flow-impeding parts in the measuring pipe, no pressure loss, and low requirements for straight pipe sections;

3: Nominal diameter DN15 ~ DN3000, there are many choices for sensor lining and electrode materials;

4: The converter adopts a novel excitation method, which has low power consumption, stable zero point and high accuracy.

5: The converter can be integrated with the sensor or separated;

6: The converter adopts 16-bit high-performance microprocessor, 2x16LCD display, convenient parameter setting, and reliable programming

7: The flow meter is a bidirectional measurement system, equipped with three totalizers: forward total, reverse total and difference total; it can display forward and reverse flow, and has a variety of outputs: current, pulse, digital communication , HART protocol;

8: The converter adopts surface mounting technology (SMT) and has self-test and self-diagnosis functions.
