Flow meter

Although the flow meter was set zero before leaving the factory, it may be offset because of the inevitable slight impact on transport. If the flow meter does not display zero when the flow velocity is zero, zero offsets occur and zero set operation has to be done: Close the behind valve. Turn on the […]

To find out the value of the “K factor” in a turbine flowmeter device, the manufacturer bypasses a defined volume of the liquid via the meter and calculates the pulses produced by the meter. The sum of all pulses divided by the liquid’s known volume provides the “K factor quantity.” For a turbine flowmeter, the

Electromagnetic flowmeter is used to measure the volume flow of conductive liquid medium with conductivity greater than 5μs/cm. To know the fluid conductivity is important. The conductivity of gas, oil, and most organic liquids is much lower than 5uS/cm, and they are not conductive. That’s the reason it can’t use the magnetic flowmeter to measure.

The turbine flow meters are widely used in liquid and gas measurement. The gas turbine flow meters catalog: https://www2.slideshare.net/MichaelSun5/gas-turbine-flow-meter-239944663   The liquid turbine flow meters catalog: https://www2.slideshare.net/MichaelSun5/liquid-turbine-flow-meter-89634185

When installation in vertical position, medium flow direction is should from down to up. The two ends of the flowmeter installation must be sealed and no leakage. During installation, avoid a strong impact on the flow meter, which may damage the instrument or cause serious zero drift.

Before installing a flow meter, the user should check the packing list offered by the manufacturer, and do a preliminary inspection to confirm whether products were damaged by transport or other reasons. All flanges of the Flowmeters base on GB/T (China) standard. Other types of flanges can be offered according to other industry standards too.

Zero Instrument supports a wide range of liquid control applications in industrial water markets. Our reliable quality control process and management will make sure each device well tested before in your hands.

The following diagram depicts the architecture of the electromagnetic flow meter. The flow tube The flow tube houses the terminals in direct contact with the moving conductive fluid and field coil. The electrode contained here is an essential element as it picks up the voltage in the fluid. Electrode elements have different options that feature
