vortex flow meter minimum flow

Minimum flow problem

The amplitude of the vortex signal is proportional to the square of the velocity of the measured medium and the density.

In other words, when the detection sensitivity of the vortex flowmeter is constant, the working pressure of the fluid increases and the density increases, and the measured flow rate can be reduced.

Conversely, at a certain flow rate, if the working pressure of the fluid increases, the density increasing, the amplitude of the vortex signal also increases, and the detection sensitivity can be lowered.

For atmospheric gas, the lower limit the flow rate of the vortex flowmeter can reach 4~5m/s. For pressurized gas, such as compressed air, due to the increase in density, the lower limit flow rate will decrease.

Therefore, in the selection, the actual working condition flow must be considered.
