Understanding rod radar level meters on several aspects

The rod-type radar level meter is one of the radar level meters, its antenna is selected as a rod type, also used to be called rod-type radar level meter.

Its principle is the same as that of other radar level meters, i.e. the microwave pulses emitted by the radar are transmitted downwards through the rod antenna and are reflected when they encounter the measured medium, where they are again received and converted into a level signal.

Compared to other radar level meters, the most important feature of the rod-type radar level meter is that it is virtually unaffected by corrosion and easy to clean, making it suitable for measuring a variety of highly corrosive liquids such as sulphuric acid.

However, the measuring range of the rod-type radar level meter has certain limitations and is generally within ten meters. Therefore, the rod-type radar level meter is often used to measure operating conditions and the measurement range is small.

Rod radar level meters are available with both threaded and flanged process connections, depending on which one is more suitable for the prevailing conditions.

One of Zero Instrument’s best-selling rod radar level meters is the RD901 high-frequency radar level meter. (See HBRD901 26G radar level meter “anti-corrosion” chemical industry for details)

Every industry has its commonalities and characteristics, and the same industry also has its commonalities and characteristics. For the more important measurement aspects of the production process, it is important to choose the right type of product according to the actual conditions of your work.

Whether it is a rod radar level meter or a flared radar level meter, the point is which type is the most suitable
