Radar Level Gauge Measures Level of Batch Filled Vessels

Radar level meter utilizes the principle of radar wave to measure the distance between the target object and the radar device, so as to measure the height of liquid level. In batch-filling container level measurement, a radar level meter has many advantages, such as high accuracy, long-distance measurement, applicability to various liquids, and so on.

A batch-filling container is a common type of container used in industrial production, which is usually used for loading and storing various substances and batch-filling through filling pipes.

The characteristics of this type of container are as follows: first, the batch-filling container usually has a large capacity. Because of its application in the industrial field, it usually needs to load a large number of substances, so the capacity of the container is usually large, ranging from tens of liters to thousands of liters.

This requires level measurement equipment that can accurately measure levels over a wide range. Secondly, batch-filling containers often have more complex process conditions.

In industrial production, level measurement equipment is usually faced with a variety of complex process conditions, such as high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive substances.

Therefore, level measurement equipment needs to be able to adapt to different process conditions, and maintain good working stability.

Finally, the liquid level of batch-filling containers usually varies greatly. In the filling process, the liquid level of the container will continue to change, so the liquid level measurement equipment needs to be able to accurately monitor the liquid level changes in real-time.

At the same time, due to the large changes in liquid level, the liquid level measurement equipment also needs to have a high measurement accuracy to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.

In the following, we will present two actual measurement cases to demonstrate the application of radar level meters in the level measurement of bulk filling vessels:

the first case is the measurement of the level of a petroleum tank. Petroleum tanks are a common type of batch-filled vessel used to store petroleum and its derivatives.

Due to the special nature of petroleum, level measurement equipment needs to be able to withstand the harsh operating environment of high temperature, high pressure, and corrosion.

Through its high accuracy and anti-interference capability, the radar level meter can accurately measure the level of petroleum in the tank and provide timely feedback to the control system to automate the filling process.

The second case is to measure the level of solution tanks in a chemical factory. Chemical plants usually need to mix a variety of solutions, and solution tank level measurement is very critical for process control.

The radar level meter, with its long measuring distance and high measuring accuracy, can accurately measure the liquid level of the solution tank in real-time and transmit the data to the control system.

Through the real-time monitoring of the liquid level, the factory can adjust the ratio of the solution according to the demand, in order to ensure the continuity of the production process and quality stability.

As a kind of high-precision liquid level measurement equipment, the radar level meter has a wide range of application prospects in the liquid level measurement of batch-filling containers.

It can adapt to the liquid level measurement needs under different process conditions, with the ability of long-distance measurement and high-precision measurement.
