Analysis on the application of radar level meter in paper industry

In modern paper industry production, level measurement technology, especially radar level meters, plays a vital role. Paper production involves the storage, transportation and processing of large amounts of liquids and slurries.

Inventory monitoring of these materials is key to ensuring production continuity and quality control. Because radar level meters have the advantages of non-contact measurement, easy installation, and wide adaptability, they have become an indispensable part of the paper industry.

This article will introduce in detail some specific applications of radar level meters in the paper industry.

Level monitoring of log pulp tanks is an important step in the paper manufacturing process. In the pulping process, large quantities of logs are soaked and stirred into a slurry state for subsequent processing.

The radar level meter can accurately monitor the real-time level of the slurry to ensure that the amount of slurry meets production needs while avoiding overflow or insufficient supply from affecting the operation of the entire production line.

Level control in white pools and waste pools is equally important. During the bleaching and washing process, chemicals react with the slurry to generate waste liquid containing impurities, while the pure part becomes white water for recycling.

The radar level gauge plays the role of monitoring and adjustment here to ensure timely treatment of waste liquid and reasonable recycling of white water.

In addition, level gauges are also required in the wet and dry ends of paper machines. The wet end refers to the initial stage of paper formation, involving processes such as slurry feeding and dehydration.

Radar level gauges monitor slurry levels in the wet end trough, maintaining a constant feed to stabilize paper quality. In the drying section, which is the drying part after the paper is formed, radar level meters are usually used to monitor the water level of the steam drum to ensure drying efficiency and paper quality.

Finally, the stacking height of paper products in the finished product warehouse also needs to be monitored using level meters. Finished paper products such as toilet paper, book paper, etc. are stacked high in the warehouse. The radar level meter can accurately understand the level height of each stacking area, thereby effectively managing inventory and optimizing storage space utilization.

Radar level meters play an all-rounder role in the paper industry. From raw material pulping to final product storage, they accurately monitor material levels, help factories achieve automated control, improve production efficiency, reduce resource waste, and ensure product quality.

With the continuous upgrading of paper industry technology, the application of radar level meters will become more extensive and accurate, injecting new vitality into this traditional industry.
