What should I pay attention to when choosing a radar level meter for the coal chemical industry? - Just Measure it

What should I pay attention to when choosing a radar level meter for the coal chemical industry?

The coal chemical industry refers to the process of converting coal into gas, liquid, and solid fuels and chemicals through chemical processing using coal as raw material.

As an important part of China’s energy structure, coal energy is of great significance in ensuring the security of China’s energy supply.

The coal chemical industry, as a powerful means to realize the efficient use of coal resources, is directly related to the national energy strategic development plan.

So the measurement of the level of coal chemical production is also a very important task, so what are the points to note when choosing a level meter?

The first point is that in coal chemical production, the ash bins need to be fed regularly and before feeding, it is easy to give false signals due to the large amount of dust above the empty bins.

In addition, the ash surface deposited over a long period of time is relatively soft, which can also have an effect on the signal reflection and can therefore be measured by selecting guided wave radar level meters and teardrop-type high-frequency radar level meters.

The second point is that when measuring granular materials such as raw coal and limestone, a high-frequency non-contact radar level meter is usually used for the measurement.

This radar level meter has the advantage of accurate measurement and accurate echo processing and, at the same time, eliminates the influence of interfering factors such as volatiles, crystallization, and dust. However, when installing the level meter, the installation position of the instrument in the silo should be specified.

In doing so, the location of the feed opening is avoided as far as possible to prevent incorrect feed signals from being generated.

The third point relates to the selection of antenna-type radar level meters, generally according to the working conditions of the coal chemical production site to choose the corresponding antenna type.

At present, the common antenna type is the horn mouth antenna, this antenna has good wave gathering, but there are also certain defects, if there is water at the horn mouth, it will have a certain impact on the accuracy of the measurement results, and this measurement method is not applicable to the measurement of corrosive media.

In addition, for relatively high-pressure vessels, it is easy to cause leakage problems, so the plane seal antenna is more suitable for measurement in places with limited installation conditions and corrosive media.

These are some of the issues that need to be noted when choosing a level meter for the media chemical industry, or specifically to judge, analyze and choose according to your actual situation.
