Chocolate is a widely used food ingredient, and in addition to its extensive use in the food manufacturing industry, it is also used in medical, cosmetic, and other industries.
In chocolate production, the level measurement of chocolate liquid is a key issue. In response to the liquid level measurement problems in the production process, radar level meter as a kind of high precision, high stability, and high-reliability level measurement equipment came into being.
In this paper, we will introduce the difficulties in level measurement of chocolate storage tanks with agitation and provide two actual measurement cases to show the application of radar level meters in chocolate production.
Level measurement in chocolate tanks with agitation has some special difficulties: High temperatures: chocolate manufacturing needs to be carried out at high temperatures, so the chocolate liquid is also characterized by high temperatures.
Any level measurement device needs to have a high enough temperature resistance and be able to accurately measure the level in a high-temperature environment. Caking: When the chocolate liquid is stored for too long or the temperature is not uniform enough, caking will easily occur.
In this state, it is difficult for traditional level measurement equipment to measure the liquid level properly, and special level measurement technology must be used to measure the accurate liquid level.
Stirring interference: In chocolate production, stirring equipment is indispensable, but the stirring process will cause interference with the liquid level measurement.
In order to obtain accurate and stable level measurements, level measurement equipment needs to be highly resistant to interference.
Below are two real-world measurement cases to demonstrate the use of radar level meters for level measurement in agitated chocolate storage tanks.
Case 1: Chocolate Factory A large chocolate factory in Europe uses a set of agitated chocolate storage tanks, but it is difficult to accurately measure the level of the chocolate liquid with conventional level measurement equipment.
For this reason, the factory uses radar level meters for level measurement.
The radar level meter uses advanced high-frequency microwave signal technology to penetrate the chocolate liquid and accurately measure the level height.
The instrument has a high degree of anti-interference, stability, and reliability, and can accurately read the liquid level height and changes in a strongly interfering environment, greatly improving the factory’s manufacturing efficiency and output quality.
Case 2: Small and medium-sized chocolate manufacturer A small and medium-sized chocolate manufacturer located in Asia faced a liquid level monitoring problem when producing chocolate.
Their chocolate storage tanks are often caked and stirring interference and many other level monitoring difficulties, resulting in traditional level measurement instruments being difficult to truly measure the level of chocolate liquid.
However, after trying the radar level meter, they found that it could accurately, stably, and reliably measure the liquid level in the chocolate storage tank.
The radar level meter is able to provide real-time feedback of liquid level data according to the changes in liquid level and can automatically adapt to liquids of different particle sizes and shapes and different temperature states in the storage tanks, which effectively solves the liquid level monitoring problem and improves their production efficiency and quality.
The complexities of chocolate liquids such as high temperatures, caking, and stirring interference can be overcome by radar level meters.
It can provide stable, accurate, and reliable liquid level data to help chocolate manufacturers monitor the liquid level height as well as the production process to improve production efficiency and product quality.
Through the demonstration of two actual measurement cases, we can see the application effect of radar level meters in chocolate production.
