Waist wheel flowmeter common troubleshooting methods

 

Phenomenon

Reason

Treatment Measures

No rotation of the waist wheel 1. Dirt-jammed pipes. 1. Clean pipes, filters, and flow meters
2. The liquid under test solidifies. 2. Dissolve the liquid.
The pointer does not move or stop when the waist wheel turns 1. Meter head puller disconnected.
Meter head transmission enters dirt.
Remove the meter head, turn the fork by hand, and the meter rotation smoothly, and the meter head and shaft plugs disconnected; if not, should be checked level by level.
2. The pointer or counter is stuck.
3. The transmission has a disconnect.

Seal packing wear Tighten the gland or
replace the packing.
Differential compensation and
small flow error bias
The waist wheel touches the casing, due to bearing wear,
or due to dislocation of the main body of the fixed drive gear.
Replace the bearings, check the drive gear, whether the wheel body is rotating,
and whether the screws fixing the gear are loose.
Large variation in error 1. Large liquid pulsation. 1. Reduce pulsation.
2. Contains gas.  2. Add the air eliminator.
