The Importance of Pressure Measurement

Pressure is one of the important parameters in the industrial production process. In order to ensure normal production, pressure must be monitored and controlled.

For example, in chemical reactions, pressure affects both material balance and chemical reaction speed, so industrial operating procedures must be strictly followed, which requires measuring and controlling pressure to ensure the normal progress of the process. 

Secondly, pressure measurement or control is also necessary for safe production. Pressure monitoring can timely prevent production equipment from being damaged or exploded due to overpressure. 

In thermal power plants, the negative pressure in the furnace reflects the balance between the air supply volume and the induced air volume. The size of the furnace pressure is also closely related to the stable combustion in the furnace, which directly affects the safe and economical operation of the unit.

There are many types of instruments used for pressure measurement, and the most commonly used in industry is the pressure transmitter. 

The pressure transmitter uses certain physical properties of an object to convert the measured pressure into various electrical signals through different conversion elements, and then measures the desired pressure. 

Depending on the conversion element, the pressure transmitter can be divided into resistive, capacitive, strain, inductive, piezoelectric, etc.

The biggest difference between pressure transmitter and other pressure measuring instruments is that the output signal is easy to transmit remotely. 

Pressure transmitter can be easily used with various display, recording and adjustment instruments, thus creating conditions for centralized pressure monitoring and control. Pressure transmitter is widely used in production process automation system.
