The measuring medium is slurry and the measuring distance is 10-11m for a metal conical bottom bin. The problem arises when the zero level is not displayed properly when the bin is empty. When the radar level meter has material, the measurement value is basically accurate.
After analysis, it was found that the installation position was relatively close to the inlet, basically near the middle, the zero position, which was not ideal. When there is no liquid level, the radar wave will enter the cone bottom tank and make the reflected echo change.
The solution is to move the installation position to a position far from the inlet, and slightly closer to the bin wall, so the flare “shot” down to the inlet position.
