We only know that the characteristics of the liquid medium have a certain influence on the measurement of the radar level meter, but we do not know that the antenna scarring or foam within the working conditions also have an impact on the radar level meter measurement. In view of this situation, I would like to discuss the countermeasures for several special situations that affect the measurement effect of radar level meter, and hope that we can give you help when necessary.
There are two types of antenna scarring, one is minor hanging material, and in this case, the radar level meter measurement will not be affected. However, in the case of very serious hanging material, the radar level meter will be affected to a greater or lesser extent.
If the antenna is severely scarred, it can be responded to in three ways: firstly, by blowing through compressed air. If cool compressed air is used, not only can the purpose of blowing be achieved, but also the temperature of the corresponding components can be reduced for the purpose of cooling.
This method is generally used for radar level meters. Secondly, the antenna is flushed using clean water. Thirdly, if the scarifying material on the antenna is alkaline, the antenna can be cleaned using acidic substances, provided that level measurement is not carried out at the same time at this stage.
There are three countermeasures that can be taken against antenna scarring as described above. So, what measures can be taken to prevent water and dust from entering the instrument for instrument sealing? Firstly, when ordering, order a sealed joint and have it installed. Secondly, if necessary, the whole instrument can be wrapped up with a tarpaulin (plastic sheet).
Finally, for foam that affects the radar level meter, it depends on the type of foam, if it is only light, the radar level meter will hardly be affected.
However, for thick, thick foam, it is necessary to take the necessary measures and the best way to do this is to choose a radar level meter that is suitable for this type of working condition.
