Radar Level Meter Measures Malt Slurry Drum Levels - Just Measure it

Radar Level Meter Measures Malt Slurry Drum Levels

With the continuous progress of science and technology and the expansion of applications, the radar level meter has become one of the mainstream methods of level measurement in the field of industrial automation.

With its high accuracy, wide applicability, and reliability, the radar level meter is widely used in various occasions of level measurement.

In this paper, we will take the level measurement of malt slurry barrel by radar level meter as the theme, analyze the characteristics of the level of malt slurry barrel, and cite two actual measurement cases.

A malt barrel is a piece of equipment used in the brewing of spirits and is filled with malt and water. Measurement of the level of the maltings vat is critical to the control of the brewing process.

Traditional level measurement methods such as floats and pressure transmitters have problems such as low accuracy and susceptibility to interference from impurities.

Radar level meters, however, are suitable for the level measurement of various liquids and solids, including the level measurement of malt syrup drums, due to their non-contact characteristics.

First of all, the level of the malt slurry drum will change with the level of malt and water in the brewing process. Maltsters need to be stabilized within a specific level range to ensure the quality of the finished brew.

Secondly, the level of the malt slurry vat needs to be measured taking into account the temperature of the malt slurry, impurities in the slurry, and the distance between the level meter and the liquid level.

Finally, maltsters are often located in harsh operating environments, such as high temperatures, high pressures, corrosive gases, etc., so the stability and reliability of the level meter is also an important consideration.

The first case is a brewery using a radar level meter to measure the level of the malt syrup barrel. In the case of large changes in the level of malt slurry barrels, the traditional float level meter has low accuracy and is susceptible to interference by impurities, while the radar level meter can accurately measure the level through high-frequency microwave signals and provide a stable signal output.

In addition, the non-contact nature of the radar level meter can avoid the influence of pollutants on the level measurement, effectively ensuring the quality of the brewing process.

The second case is a ceramics factory that uses radar level meters to measure the level of malt slurry drums. In the ceramic production process, the malt slurry tanks are located in a high-temperature environment, and the radar level meter is able to withstand the high-temperature requirements and provide stable level measurement.

In addition, the corrosion resistance of the radar level meter is suitable for corrosive gases in the slurry, ensuring the accuracy and stability of the slurry measurement.

A radar level meter is a reliable method suitable for the level measurement of malt slurry barrels. Through the principle of non-contact measurement, the radar level meter is able to provide accurate level measurement data to meet the characteristics of malt slurry barrels with large level changes and harsh working environments, which ensures the control and quality of the brewing process.
