Radar level meter measurement when encountering foam how to solve - Just Measure it

Radar level meter measurement when encountering foam how to solve

Radar level meter in the measurement process, usually accompanied by high temperature, low temperature, stirring, crystallization, and foam, which can cause some interference to the level measurement, today I want to talk about the production process in the case of foam should be how to do.

Generally affect the radar level meter measurement of foam can be divided into two types, one is the gas dispersion in the molten solid, after cooling to form foam, such as foam, foam rubber, foam glass, etc..

The other is the gas dispersion in the liquid to form foam, such as soap foam, beer foam, etc. Here is a real case to share with you

The customer needs radar level meter to measure 4 meters of latex, due to production needs, the liquid surface has a large foam density and a certain thickness. Manual monitoring mode had been used before and the data did not allow and there was a safety risk.

After investigating the environment, the customer was advised to install a grill baffle on site. The radar level meter is installed in the grille and acts like a waveguide. It effectively filters out the foam and measures the true level.

After repeated debugging and testing, the echo curve is good and the measurement data is stable. It effectively solves the problem that users cannot monitor the liquid level accurately due to bubbles.

And there is a lot of foam in the measurement medium, which is no longer a factor affecting the radar level meter measurement, and this problem is solved through the technical summary of field experience.
