Radar level meter liquid level indication maximum reasons and solutions

Radar level meter is widely used in industrial production, but in the process of using it, sometimes there will be the problem of level indication maximum. In this paper, we will analyze the reasons for the maximum level indication of radar level meter and put forward corresponding solutions.

Causing the radar level meter to indicate the biggest reasons are as follows, improper installation of the sensor: if the sensor of the radar level meter is not installed correctly, it may lead to poor signal reception, which in turn leads to inaccurate liquid level indication. Reflection interference: If the fluctuation of the liquid surface is large or there are sundry interferences, it may lead to irregular signal reflection, which in turn affects the accuracy of the liquid level indication.

Improper calibration: If the level meter is not calibrated properly, it may lead to inaccurate level indication. Sensor failure: If the sensor of the radar level meter fails, it may lead to abnormal liquid level indication.

So how exactly to solve this problem? Check the sensor installation: make sure the sensor of the radar level meter is installed correctly, make sure the probe and the liquid surface remain perpendicular, and there are no other obstacles interfering with the signal transmission.

Eliminate interference factors: check the liquid surface whether there are large fluctuations or debris interference, if so, need to take appropriate measures to eliminate interference. Re-calibration: Re-calibrate the radar level meter to make sure its indication is accurate. Check the sensor: If the above measures still can’t solve the problem, the sensor may be faulty, and the sensor needs to be checked or replaced.

A refinery using radar level meter to monitor the liquid level in the tank, after a period of time after the use of the operator found that the liquid level indication is abnormal, showing the highest level. After investigation, it was found that the sensor installation angle is not correct, resulting in poor signal reception. After re-adjusting the angle of the sensor, the liquid level indication returned to normal.

Radar level meter level indication is most likely to be caused by improper sensor installation, reflection interference, improper calibration or sensor failure. To solve such problems, it is necessary to comprehensively consider various possible factors, one by one to check and take the corresponding solutions.

In the process of industrial production, regular maintenance and inspection of the radar level meter to ensure its normal work, to ensure production safety and stability is of great significance.

At the same time, the operator should have a certain degree of fault judgment and processing capabilities, so that in the event of anomalies can take timely and effective measures to solve the problem.

By strengthening equipment maintenance and personnel training, can effectively reduce the probability of radar level meter failure, improve production efficiency.
