Radar level meter function setting method - Just Measure it

Radar level meter function setting method

A radar level meter is an advanced continuous control radar type level measuring instrument, which is widely used in process control automation in electric power, petrochemical, and other industries. However, due to the complex and diverse field application conditions, there are different requirements for the target setting of the radar level meter. So, in order to better play the role of radar level meter, what is the setting method of radar level meter?

How to set the function of the radar level meter? Generally speaking, we need to start from the following aspects

First, the function check

Before measuring the radar level meter after installation, you must confirm that all final checks have been completed, i.e. post-installation check and post-connection check.

Second, basic selection

When the instrument is first powered on, select the language, basic unit, and current measured r value according to the information displayed by the radar level meter.

Third, parameter settings

1. Basic settings

(1) First select the shape of the tank, which can be selected according to the demand.

(2) The choice of media characteristics depends on the conductivity of the solution.

(3) If the tank is with stirring, set it in the condition option.

(4) Perform empty tank calibration and full tank calibration and enter the calculated data according to the actual situation on site.

2. Safety setting, in the safety setting interface, input and output parameters can be set according to production needs.

3. Linearization setting of radar level meter, regardless of the tank shape, it is necessary to calculate the maximum height of the solution, i.e. the level and the height of the solution from the measurement reference point, i.e. the empty height. Then select custom units and linearize.

4. Extended calibration, as the tank agitator and the tank wall may generate echoes, in order not to affect the measurement accuracy, it is necessary to select an interference echo suppression map, i.e. to compare the measurement distance of the radar level meter with the actual distance. The suppression map cannot eliminate the interference error caused by too large or too small a distance. Only when a suitable inspection distance is selected can the suppression map be used for the currently measured echoes, and the suppression range is determined by the technician according to the needs of the site.
