Advantages of Coriolis Mass Flowmeters
- True mass flow measurement.
- Multi-parameter measurement, while measuring the mass flow, the volume flow, additional temperature, and density can be obtained at the same time.
- Very high accuracy for mass flow measurements.
- Highly accurate density measurement.
- Unaffected by pressure, temperature, and viscosity.
- Easy to install, clean, and maintain, no inlet and outlet sections required.
- Bidirectional flow measurement operates in both flow directions (forward and reverse)
- Measuring range settings can be optimized for flow rate and density
- Self-draining.
- It can measure a wide range of media, such as gas, liquid and chemical media, papermaking slurry, etc.
- Accurately measuring high-temperature and low-speed gas, its anti-corrosion, anti-fouling, explosion-proof, and other problems have been satisfactorily resolved.
- There are no moving parts in the pipeline, and there are no problems with electrode contamination, so the failure rate is low.
Disadvantages of Coriolis Mass Flowmeters
- Affected by gas inclusions.
- Vibration sensitive when improperly installed.
- Limited choice of materials.
- The nominal diameter is limited at the top, the larger diameter could reach 8 inches (DN200)
- More expensive compared with other instrumentation.
- Easily affected by external vibration interference.
- Poor zero stability affects accuracy.
