Dust Protection
In the external to the instrument dust is very simple, only need in the radar level meter external plus a layer of protective cover or placed in a sealed box, you can maximize the protection of the instrument, for the measured medium contains dust, impurities and particles, such protection measures.
In addition to prevent blockage, need to take measures to reduce dust and other measures, usually will also add dust collector, add blowing device and add protection screen and other methods.
Corrosion Protection
Compared with dust protection, the maintenance of anti-corrosion maintenance is more complex, in the selection of the type to consider whether there is a need for corrosion, the radar level meter to prevent corrosion is the fundamental method is to choose corrosion-resistant material manufacturing, the most common is the use of polytetrafluoroethylene material made of components and gaskets.
In addition to this, a very common approach to corrosion protection in industry is the formation of a protective layer on the radar level meter. It can be divided into three types, which are classified according to the different materials and forming principles of the protective layer.
The first: the use of spraying, electroplating, hot dipping, carburising and other protective measures of metal protection layer.
The second kind: through the radar level meter for paint, rubber, plastic, enamel and other protection of non-metallic protective layer.
The third kind: non-metallic protective film: chemical treatment on the metal surface to generate oxide film, phosphate film and other protective film.
Radar level meter in the face of strong corrosive media, and the measurement place is difficult to use the tube isolation or container isolation, the use of corrosion-resistant diaphragm will be isolated or filled with liquid and the measured medium to isolate,
to achieve anti-corrosion purposes, but this approach is usually applicable to pressure measurement, not suitable for differential pressure measurement.
By blowing into the air or other inert gas, etc., used to isolate the measured medium to the corrosive radar level meter, this approach is used for atmospheric pressure or low pressure level measurement, and will not interact with the measured medium.
