How to fix the flange when installing a high frequency radar level meter - Just Measure it

How to fix the flange when installing a high frequency radar level meter

For radar level meters the installation requirements are very strict, in order for accurate positioning, in the installation of a high-frequency radar level meter, the installation required flange and threads are marked, must be installed in accordance with the mark, and to comply with the following direction.

1. When mounting, the indicator mark on the flange should point toward the wall or the center of the tank.

2. For the installation of guided wave radar, the markings should point to the side of the opening.

3. If a bypass tube is used for installation, the flange markings should point to the side of the connecting tube.

The amplitude of the echo signal reflects the optimum installation position. When measuring solid materials, the low amplitude of the echo signal can be adjusted by turning the flange. In addition, false echoes can be stored to achieve the best measurement results. The specific operation steps are as follows.

1. Should be installed before the connection, to confirm that the tank is free of pressure and free of harmful media.

2. Positioning adjustments should be made with confirmation of the level of material in the vessel. Adjustments can also be made with less material, and the return signal can be optimized by storing false echoes.

3. The optimum positioning needs to be determined by simply turning the flange mark by one hole position or turning the thread by 1/8 turn, noting the echo amplitude, and continuing to rotate the flange or thread until one turn has been made.

4. Fix the flange or tighten the thread in the optimum position and replace the seal if necessary.
