First of all, I would like to say that there are two cases of precautions, one is the installation in the bypass tube, when the material in the vessel fluctuates, you can use the level meter with the bypass tube, used to reduce the impact of media fluctuations on the measurement; pay special attention to the calibration mark on the antenna installation position to be perpendicular to the tank connection tube.
The bypass tube must use a metal tube, not enamel coating or plastic; tube diameter should be uniform, and the inner wall should always be smooth; any transition section of the bypass tube should not have more than 1mm gap; in the tank connection tube ± 20cm, the measurement accuracy will be reduced, choose the largest possible caliber of the horn antenna. The other is installed in the wave-guide tube, the antenna installation position on the calibration mark to ensure alignment with the diversion tank; after installation is complete, the case can be rotated 350 °, making the wiring chamber and LCD display easy to view; can use the full diameter ball valve for measurement.
The waveguide tube must use a metal tube, either a parallel or seamlessly welded stainless steel tube, the waveguide tube can not use enamel coating; the tube diameter should be uniform, and the inner wall should always be smooth, when the waveguide tube needs to be extended, it can be achieved by welding flange or sleeve, but the connection must not have more than 1mm gap; if the waveguide tube needs to be opened on both sides, the location of the openings should be symmetrical, and the angle of 180°; When the diversion slot is needed, the maximum hole diameter and maximum width are 1/10 of the tube diameter, the location of the open hole needs to remove the burr, and the number and length of open holes have no effect on the measurement.
Note: Conical tank top plane, can be mounted in the middle of the tank top, can ensure the measurement to the conical bottom
So how to judge whether the installation of the radar level meter is suitable or not? After the radar level meter is installed, you can use a PC and communication software to view the echo curve of the level meter and judge whether the installation is suitable. If it is suitable, the installation position of the level meter needs to be further adjusted until the level meter can produce a satisfactory return curve. At this time, the level shown on the level meter display should be consistent with the actual level.
In a word, the accuracy of radar level meter measurement depends on the signal strength of the reflected wave of the actual liquid level. If the installation position of the chosen instrument, the radar antenna cannot receive the radar wave reflected from the measured liquid level, or there is strong interference within the radar wave range, which can reflect a strong enough interference wave to the radar level meter, the radar level meter cannot effectively reflect the actual liquid level.
Therefore, choosing a reasonable installation position is the key factor in whether the radar level meter can measure accurately. We not only need to master the correct installation method, but also need to learn to judge the suitability of the radar level meter installation.
