Radar level meter has been widely promoted and applied in the chemical industry with its advantages of the small dead zone, high accuracy of continuous measurement, small influence by medium characteristics, large measuring range, etc. However, due to the complexity of the measured object, the radar level meter often fails. So we need to understand the common faults of the radar level meter and its handling methods, the following is a summary of the five common faults and solutions.
1. Check whether the communication equipment is normal.
Once the communication equipment is found to be abnormal, you can read the radar configuration data and monitor the status of the radar sensor by installing the radar debugging software. Mainly check whether the radar sensor can accurately judge the difference between reflected echo and false echo and whether the intensity of the reflected wave reaches the predetermined standard. If there are no problems with the above tests, it is necessary to check other electronic components.
If the communication unit of the radar level meter is judged to be damaged, the components need to be replaced as appropriate to ensure proper communication of the radar level meter. The inspection of the radar level meter communication should also be strengthened in the daily maintenance work.
You can use the radar commissioning software to access the line and use the regulator to maintain the communication equipment of the radar level meter.
2. Antenna contamination and crystallization.
If the light dirt oil tank fails, should first consider the possibility of antenna contamination and crystallization. The treatment method is to wear suitable protective equipment after a power failure, unload the radar and put it diagonally, wipe off the dirt or crystallization with a rag, do not bend and damage the antenna, pay attention to lightly take and put it gently, avoid scratching the antenna skin with iron tools.
3. Diffuse reflection.
If the level is low or there is no level, the Zui greater reason may be that there are brackets and pipes at the bottom of the test vessel, or steam is generated in the process, forming diffuse reflection of the radar wave and causing the level failure. In this case, wait for the process level to be normal and restart, it will automatically recover. After the temperature is normal, the diffuse reflection caused by steam will be recovered automatically.
4. The system displays an error message.
The radar level meter system often displays an error message. Usually, the cause of this failure is that the power is cut off before the end of data storage, so calibration, reset and recalibration is required. If the alarm still sounds after calibration, reset and recalibration, the electronic module of the radar level meter needs to be replaced.
5. Inaccurate display values.
Inaccurate display values are a common problem with radar level meters, which can be caused by incorrect initial setting contrast or incorrect display module plug-in connection. Once you find that the displayed value is not visible, check the initial setting of the radar level meter and check whether the display module plug-in connection is normal.
If both items are displayed normally, you need to check in-depth whether the output current of the radar level meter is normal. If the output current is greater than 22mA, it can be judged that the radar level meter display module is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced in time.
If the output current is less than 3.5ma, it can be judged that the electronic module of the radar level meter is faulty and needs to be replaced in time.
