The high-frequency microwave pulse sent by the guided wave radar propagates along the detection assembly and meets the measured medium. The sudden change of the dielectric constant causes reflection and part of the pulse energy is reflected back. The time interval between the transmitted and reflected pulses is proportional to the distance of the measured medium, which is the measurement principle of the guided-wave radar level meter.

First of all, we share the first case, a company in Beijing installed our guide wave radar level meter to measure oil, model RD-701. customer response to the site empty warehouse does not show 0, after the after-sales engineer to the site inspection found that the cause of this problem is the site welding base fixed weight, the tank bottom signal is too large, resulting in measuring the empty height value is not allowed. The solution given by the after-sales engineer is to reduce the tank bottom signal through the priority reduction function, test the actual distance value, and then reset the range parameters so that the problem is solved.

In the second case, a company in Shandong installed our company’s wave-guide radar level meter to measure oil, the instrument model is also RD-701, the customer responded that the instrument has jumped, after the analysis of after-sales engineers, it is because the wave-guide tube is not at the bottom, there is a beam inside the tube, so the jump caused by the change. After the after-sales engineer added the bracket, the meter measured normally.
