2. Measurement Requirements

3. Zero Instrument’s Solution

Zero Instruments developed, constructed, and produced a wastewater treatment plant-specific measuring system. A water skid with two Z100ES electromagnetic flow meters (24″, Cl 300#), input and outlet lines (10D/5D), ball valves, and pre-installed gaskets are included.

Prior to delivery, the metering skid has been calibrated to OIML R49 criteria for custody transfer measurement. The water skid’s Z-type allows for dual-channel measurement as well as single-channel measurement, with the non-active channel ready for service operations while the skid is in use.

The flow meters were carefully coated to withstand the harsh environment of high ambient temperatures. In addition, the harsh process conditions necessitated that the skid’s entire piping be lined with phenolic to prevent corrosion. To manage the high salty component of the medium, all of the valves were fabricated of Inconel.

For each measurement system, Zero Instruments has also created a modular metering control solution. The control room’s metering control cabinets were delivered fully connected, set up, and tested.

The flowmeters were carefully coated to withstand the harsh conditions of high ambient temperatures. In addition, the challenging process conditions necessitated the phenolic lining of the skid’s entire piping system to prevent corrosion. To cope with the high salt content of the medium, all of the valves were built of Inconel.

5. Product Used

The Z100ES is an electromagnetic flow meter that measures fluid density, viscosity, temperature, and pressure without being impacted by changes in fluid density, viscosity, temperature, or pressure.
