Case of radar level meter measuring corn kernel and concentrated sulfuric acid

A radar level meter is a commonly used measuring instrument that can be used to measure the level of various materials, including corn cobs and concentrated sulfuric acid.

Corn cob is a common crop with certain characteristics and measurement difficulties. Concentrated sulfuric acid is a highly corrosive chemical substance, and also has its unique characteristics and measurement difficulties, this paper combines our actual measurement cases to analyze.

Corn cob is the center part of the seed extracted from corn and has a certain density and shape. Because of its irregular shape and tendency to accumulate, conventional level measurement methods may not be able to accurately measure its level.

In addition, corn cobs have a certain degree of humidity and viscosity, which also increases the difficulty of measurement.

Therefore, it is very important to choose a suitable measurement method to accurately measure the level of corn cobs. Concentrated sulfuric acid is a highly corrosive and toxic chemical that requires special safety measures for handling and measurement.

Due to its corrosive nature, traditional level measurement methods may not be applicable to the measurement of concentrated sulfuric acid.

In addition, concentrated sulfuric acid has a certain viscosity and stickiness, which also increases the difficulty of measurement. Therefore, choosing the right measurement method is crucial for safe and accurate level measurement of concentrated sulfuric acid.

Radar level meters provide a reliable and accurate measurement solution for corn cobs and concentrated sulfuric acid. Radar level meters utilize the principle of reflection of electromagnetic waves to measure, can penetrate the medium, and measure the level of materials.

A chemical plant uses our three types of radar level meters, namely RD-701 RD-702 RD-FMW21, to measure corn kernel and concentrated sulfuric acid, the process temperature is 300 degrees, the process pressure is 1 MPa, and the connection method is a flange.

There are two problems in the process of use, the first one is that there are several radar level meters that have a jumping phenomenon, our engineers found that the reason for this problem is that the dilute sulfuric acid is diluted by the concentrated sulfuric acid and water, and the process of dilution produces foam by stirring, which leads to the radar wave signal is weak, so it will be jumped, and so we solved the problem by installing the waveguide tube.

The second one is that some radar level meters are not allowed to measure, after checking, we found that the height of the tank of concentrated sulfuric acid is 3.5 meters, while the radar waveguide rod is only 1.8 meters, so we need to lengthen the length of the waveguide rod.

Through the adjustment of engineers, the above problems have been solved. A radar level meter is a reliable and accurate measuring instrument suitable for measuring the level of media such as corn cob and concentrated sulfuric acid. It can overcome the limitations of traditional measurement methods and get good measurement results.

The use problems encountered in the process do not have to panic, and radar level meter manufacturers communicate in a timely manner, there will be professional engineers to help you solve the problem.
