Application of radar level meter in filtered water measurement

In industrial production, liquid level measurement is a very important part. Filtered water as a common liquid medium, with its unique characteristics, its measurement also has special requirements. I will introduce the characteristics of filtered water as a medium, and the application of radar level meter in the measurement.

Filtered water is water that has been treated by filtration devices in industrial production, and its water quality is usually clearer, but contains a certain amount of suspended and dissolved substances. The presence of these substances will have a certain impact on the level measurement. Therefore, the selection of appropriate measurement methods and equipment to ensure the accuracy and stability of the measurement is critical.

The radar level meter is a non-contact liquid level measurement instrument, which detects the surface of the medium by transmitting microwaves, and calculates the liquid level height according to the reflection and transmission time of the microwaves. Radar level meter has the following advantages: non-contact measurement: it can avoid direct contact with the medium, reducing the risk of contamination of the medium.

High precision: due to the use of high-frequency electromagnetic waves for measurement, the measurement precision is high and the error is small. Good stability: less affected by the physical properties of the medium, pressure, temperature and other factors, stable and reliable performance. Wide range of application: can be used for level measurement of various liquid media, including corrosive, flammable and explosive and other special media.

A chemical plant needs to measure the liquid level of its filtered water tank. Considering that the filtered water contains a certain amount of suspended and dissolved substances, a radar level meter is selected as the level measurement instrument.

In the actual installation, the radar level meter is installed in the top center of the tank, keeping parallel to the surface of the medium. In order to avoid the interference of electromagnetic waves and stray scattering affecting the measurement accuracy, the installation position of the radar level meter is carefully designed and adjusted.

At the same time, in order to avoid the influence of suspended and dissolved substances in the filtered water on the radar wave, the radar level meter is regularly cleaned and maintained to ensure its normal operation and measurement accuracy. In the process of use, the radar level meter shows good performance and stability.

Even when the suspended and dissolved substances in the filtered water change, the radar level meter still maintains high measurement accuracy and stability. This provides important data support for plant production and improves production efficiency and product quality.

From the above, it can be seen that the radar level meter, as a kind of non-contact liquid level measurement instrument, has a wide range of application prospects in filtered water measurement.

It has the advantages of high precision, good stability, wide range of application, etc., which can meet the needs of liquid level measurement in various complex environments.
