Analysis of the situation where the radar level meter does not measure the real liquid level

One of the frequent problems, in reality, is the deviation of the monitored level from the real level when the radar level meter is in operation.

ZeroInstrument

Firstly, the professionals checked the antenna section of the radar level meter for adhesions, and no foreign objects were found.

Secondly, the radar level meter antenna was shaken slightly to check for any interference around it.

Finally, the effectiveness of the radar level meter was checked by adding several centering rings. As a result, a sudden effect was found. From this phenomenon, it appeared that the reason for the lack of true level measurement was in the antenna.

Once the cause was found, the problem was completely solved by the technicians by adding several centering rings so that the radar level meter detection assembly (steel cable) was in a straight line.

This case is just one example of a situation where a radar level meter does not measure the true level. In fact, there are several other situations that can cause the true level not to be measured.

Echo curves subject to electrostatic interference

Firstly, current drift generates interference, resulting in false echoes from the radar level meter, which does not measure the true level.

Secondly, there are adhesions on the antenna and the adhesions produce interference signals, causing the measurement to be affected.

Third, there is interference around the radar level meter, causing the measurement to be blocked.

Fourthly, the guided wave radar level meter is installed in the guided wave tube or bypass tube, and there are obstacles in the tank that interfere with the microwave emitted by the radar level meter.

Radar level meter installation conditions are very different, different industries, installation conditions are different; different enterprises, installation conditions are different; different storage tanks and installation location is also different. So radar level meter in the selection and installation must understand clearly their own working conditions.

If you feel that you have limited experience and cannot accurately understand your own working conditions, you can consult the relevant technical personnel and let them give the relevant indicators, so that you can choose the right radar level meter and accurately measure the real level.
