Background
A client from Dubai required a high-accuracy flow monitoring system for concrete pumping operations. The system needed to measure both flow and pressure under demanding conditions — with a working pressure of up to 10 MPa and an abrasive medium containing cement slurry.
Ordinary flowmeters often fail under such harsh environments due to excessive wear or unstable readings, so a durable, high-pressure-rated solution was necessary.
Solution
A DN125 stainless steel target flowmeter with a nominal pressure rating of PN160 (16 MPa) was supplied.
The device was specifically calibrated and configured based on the customer’s concrete application parameters, ensuring stable and precise performance even under high-pressure conditions.
Key Specifications

Testing and Calibration
Before shipment, each unit underwent full testing and calibration, including:
Pressure and sealing tests up to 16 MPa
Flow calibration under simulated conditions
Parameter setup according to actual concrete pumping data (pressure, temperature, and density)
These steps ensure that every flowmeter operates with high accuracy and long-term stability in demanding applications.
Results and Performance
After installation, the system provided:
Reliable measurement under high pressure and abrasive media
Accurate flow data for process control
Long service life — when properly maintained, units can operate for 7–8 years or more
The intelligent LCD display integrates pressure, temperature, instantaneous flow, and total flow on a single screen, helping operators monitor system performance easily and safely.
Customer Feedback
The end user initially expressed concern about possible damage under high-pressure conditions. However, after testing, the results showed excellent structural strength and stability. The robust stainless-steel body and built-in pressure sensor exceeded expectations for accuracy and durability.
Conclusion
This project demonstrates the reliability and adaptability of target flowmeter technology in concrete and high-pressure slurry applications.
With proper configuration and maintenance, it ensures accurate measurement, long service life, and dependable performance, making it a trusted solution for harsh industrial environments.
