How to choose the location of the pressure measuring hole on a horizontal or inclined pipeline, and explain the reasons? - Just Measure it

How to choose the location of the pressure measuring hole on a horizontal or inclined pipeline, and explain the reasons?

Installation method of pressure measuring point on horizontal or inclined pipeline: For gas medium, a small amount of condensate in the gas should be able to flow back to the pipeline smoothly, so as not to cause measurement error due to entering the measuring pipeline and instrument, so the pressure tapping port should be in the upper half of the pipeline.

For liquid medium, a small amount of gas precipitated in the liquid should be able to flow back to the pipeline smoothly, so as not to cause measurement instability due to entering the measuring pipeline and instrument; at the same time, solid impurities at the bottom of the pipeline should be prevented from entering the measuring pipeline and instrument, so the pressure tapping port should be in the lower half of the pipeline, but not at the bottom of the pipeline, preferably below the horizontal center line of the pipeline and within the range of 0~45° with the horizontal center line.

For steam medium, there should be stable condensate in the measuring pipeline, and solid impurities at the bottom of the pipeline should be prevented from entering the measuring pipeline and instrument, so the steam pressure tapping port should be in the upper half of the pipeline and within the range of 0~45° below the horizontal center line.
