Radar level meter into the water what to do? - Just Measure it

Radar level meter into the water what to do?

A radar level meter is one of the important detection devices commonly used in industry to monitor the level of liquid in pipelines and vessels to ensure the safety and efficiency of industrial production. However, in the process of practical application, water in the level meter will cause damage to it and affect the accuracy of measurement. This article will introduce how to deal with the situation of water in a radar level meter and illustrate with two actual cases.

Radar level meter into the water response method, first of all, promptly cut off the power supply, liquid into the radar level meter will cause damage to the equipment, and one of the important reasons is that the equipment can not be timely powered off. Therefore, once the liquid is found to enter the equipment, the power should be cut off immediately.

This can stop the work of the equipment and avoid further damage. Next, disassemble the equipment, if the equipment has been immersed in liquid, you should immediately disconnect the power and disassemble the equipment.

In the process of disassembling the equipment, extra care is needed to avoid further damage to the equipment. Separate and clean the equipment parts to help remove the liquid, but do not use chemicals when cleaning to avoid secondary damage to the equipment. Then wait for the equipment to dry.

After the liquid is removed from the equipment, the equipment should be dried. This can be done by ventilating and drying, heating, or blowing. However, when drying the equipment, some details need to be paid attention to, such as whether it can be used in the same environment next time, and the reason why the liquid entered the equipment, etc.

Let’s take a look at the actual case together. Case 1: Water in the level meter during food processing production. In a food processing company, an accident of water in the level meter of a storage tank occurred.

After inspection, it was found that the protective measures of the equipment were not perfect, resulting in a leakage of water from the storage tank and consequent water ingress to the level meter. At this point, the site staff quickly cut off the power to the equipment and removed the level meter for disassembly and cleaning.

After cleaning and drying, the level meter was reinstalled and adjusted and finally resumed operation. Case 2: The level meter in the airflow drying system was in the water. In a chemical company, the level meter in the airflow drying system was in water due to liquid splashing.

The staff immediately conducted a site investigation and found that the level meter had a poor waterproof performance. After disassembling the equipment, all parts of the equipment were separated and cleaned and dried and then reassembled. Before restarting the equipment, it needed to be commissioned and tested again to confirm that the equipment had been completely restored to normal working condition.

Radar level meter is an important measurement equipment for industrial production, but when water ingress occurs, the normal work of the equipment will suffer, and even cause permanent damage to the equipment.

Therefore, when purchasing a level meter, companies need to select a device with good water resistance according to the actual situation and take action as soon as possible to prevent liquid from entering the device.

If liquid enters, the power needs to be cut off immediately and disassembled for cleaning and drying in order to restore the normal operation of the equipment. By studying the actual case, we can better understand how to prevent the level meter from entering the water and take effective countermeasures.

At the same time, we need to keep an eye on the operating condition of the equipment and perform regular maintenance to ensure that the equipment can maintain the best operating condition and accuracy.
