For the molecular sieve plant in the three kinds of storage tanks to talk about radar level meter selection working conditions

In refinery catalyst manufacturers, there is a necessary set of devices, which is the molecular sieve unit. In this unit, many tanks will use a radar level meter. When choosing a radar level meter, the first thing to do is to understand the specific working conditions. Here, we take a look at the conditions of three types of tanks in a molecular sieve plant.

The first type of storage tank: oriented agent preparation tanks

The volume of this tank is relatively small, but there is a stirring device in the tank, and the stirring paddle in the stirring device is very large, which leads to a small gap between the stirring paddle and the tank wall, which is about 300 mm. If a general radar level meter is used, it is difficult to avoid the stirring paddle to reach the liquid interface and achieve accurate measurement.

This is where it is necessary to choose a radar level meter with powerful software that can filter out the influence of the stirring paddle on the radar level meter measurement.

The second type of storage tank: crystallisation tanks

Compared to the first type of tank, the crystallization tank is relatively large and is equipped with a large gap between the internal stirring device and the tank wall, which is approximately 600 mm or more.

In this case, the radar level meter system chosen should not be a problem to measure as long as the antenna size is suitable and the beam angle is within the right range.

The third type of storage tank: vacuum tanks

The most obvious working characteristic of vacuum tanks is the absence of agitation in the tank. The range is relatively wide when choosing a radar level meter.

The above content is mainly from the internal structure of the storage tank to talk about radar level meter selection. In fact, in addition to the above, we should also understand the medium measured in the storage tank, which is also the most important part of the selection.

The guiding agent formulated in the storage tank not only has a strong viscosity but also has a certain degree of corrosion. The medium in the crystallization tank requires a crystallinity of 85% in normal production.

As for the vacuum tubes, the vacuum requirements are very high.

Whether it is a storage tank used in a molecular sieve plant or a tank necessary for other processes, if a level instrument such as a radar level meter is required for level measurement, careful and conscientious knowledge of the working conditions is required.
