Common problems of oil measurement by guided wave radar level meter - Just Measure it

Common problems of oil measurement by guided wave radar level meter

As the radar level meter industry continues to develop, making it occupies a place in industrial measurement. Guided wave radar level meter as a kind of radar level meter, of course, is also chosen by more users, which many people will choose to measure the oil, then in the measurement of this medium, what problems will arise, and how to solve it?

The high-frequency microwave pulse sent by the guided wave radar propagates along the detection assembly and meets the measured medium. The sudden change of the dielectric constant causes reflection and part of the pulse energy is reflected back. The time interval between the transmitted and reflected pulses is proportional to the distance of the measured medium, which is the measurement principle of the guided-wave radar level meter.

First of all, we share the first case, a company in Beijing installed our guide wave radar level meter to measure oil, model RD-701. customer response to the site empty warehouse does not show 0, after the after-sales engineer to the site inspection found that the cause of this problem is the site welding base fixed weight, the tank bottom signal is too large, resulting in measuring the empty height value is not allowed. The solution given by the after-sales engineer is to reduce the tank bottom signal through the priority reduction function, test the actual distance value, and then reset the range parameters so that the problem is solved.

In the second case, a company in Shandong installed our company’s wave-guide radar level meter to measure oil, the instrument model is also RD-701, the customer responded that the instrument has jumped, after the analysis of after-sales engineers, it is because the wave-guide tube is not at the bottom, there is a beam inside the tube, so the jump caused by the change. After the after-sales engineer added the bracket, the meter measured normally.

In these two cases, the guided wave radar level meter used is the 701 of our 70x series. The significant features of this series of guided wave radar level meters are the use of an advanced microprocessor and unique EchoDiscovery echo processing technology, a variety of process connection methods and detection component types, making the 70X series of guided wave radar level meters suitable for a variety of complex working conditions and applications, For example, high temperature, high pressure, and small dielectric constant media. It is worth mentioning that this series of guided wave radar level meters adopts a pulse mode of operation, with extremely low transmission power, and can be installed in various metallic and non-metallic containers, which is harmless to the human body and the environment.

In fact, from the case, we can find that, due to the complexity of different working conditions, even if the same instrument measures the same medium, there will be different problems, this time is often considered for the technical personnel to master the professional knowledge of the situation, the ability to judge different working conditions and professional technical ability.

I would also like to remind all users that when a problem occurs with the meter measurement and they do not know how to solve it, they should ask for professional help and, if necessary, have a professional come to the site to solve it.

I hope that the two cases of the same instrument measuring oil shared today can provide some inspiration and help to you.
